And if they did make contact with entities who live on the other side of Moon, would they tell us ?

Or maybe, just maybe has it ever been postulated that the signals may NOT even be meant for us? Sometimes you can be so hyper focused on the forest, you forget it contains much more than just trees. We might have just been lucky to "pick it up" but it doesn't mean it was directly intended for us to find. Or it if is technological, it could be just meant as a general signal to see if anyone actually does understand it.

The phenomenal power alone it takes to even send a signal outside of a solar system would be a showstopper for a technological civilization. So they may have either moved in a different direction to communicate, or have discovered physics that could sidestep our current knowledge of relativity and the ultimate speed limit of the universe. Either way, we can't expect to even remotely pick up an FTL signal as we are not there just yet.

If the signal was emitted from an object 9 billion light years away, it left its source 9 billion years ago, which would have been 4.4 billion years before the formation of the Earth. At that time, the solar system was a disc of dust and gas orbiting a very young Sun. Is that right?

What if some of these other extraterrestrial beings are actually at a different dimensional frequency than ours. Cuz we live in a 3/4 D world so what if there is a possibility that we can actually find more life out there in the universe if we are able to shift our signals from a 3D plane to a higher dimensional frequency.
