Could you please make a video on how a film analysis can be conducted with a focus on one or two major themes in the movie? How would that analysis be different from a thematic analysis of a novel?

How does one get better at recognizing these film elements in a film during a first watch through? I try to analyze films and sometimes I feel like I get it but other times I am completely lost and shot sizes and editing techniques mean nothing to me.
