I'm a lube tech at a dealership but I work on all the cars by myself. I try to get them done in 15-20 minutes, especially if I'm not rotating the tires

I've gone here before and enjoyed the service (felt a bit bad for pretty much wasting the given coolant, though...my old car had a leak. Turned out, the water pump was broken 😓). The car died this year and a month and a half in the shop didn't give a fix (and even if they fixed what I'd brought it in for, there was still a slew of other issues), so I said my goodbyes to it and got another one. If I can get my lazy butt up and ready, I'll head to you guys today to get the oil changed on this vehicle 😅. First step in making sure this car doesn't go downhill like the last is staying on top of its care. Let me get dressed.

The hood tech should open the fill port first for faster drainage before the pit tech removes the oil filter and drain plug . Then, we're supposed to wait until it's stops dripping completely before we replace the old oil filter with the vehicle's appropriate new filter and return the original drain plug both torqued to the manufacturer's specifications found in the owner's manual ( unless drain plug needs to be replaced / repaired [ threads & ring seal ; don't stack / trash the old seal if it's trash ] ) before replacing with the appropriate amount and appropriate type of new oil for the vehicle . These details matter .
