3 Handle Shower Valve Install

Moen posi temp single handle with Smitty plate would save a lot of time.

I do the putty trick on those to. Never seen anybody else do it

Nice solder joints my dude. Not too much heat but jus solder those couplings not press get a straw and get the water out. Either way nice work sir

Lools good, but why install a cheap three handle valve back in? Why not use a smitty plate and single handle delta or moen?

When I build my next house, whoever get's contracted to do my plumbing, we're going to have a very frank discussion about how every square inch of water piping will be copper, and soldered connections.

Not a single inch of PEX, and not a single compression fitting.

Three handle has no scald protection, which doesn’t meet code = Fail.

Never seen anyone solder onto a male iron. Thats a new one for me. Would of been easier to use a compression fitting.

Did you just.... solder onto a compression fitting?? MY MAN! I would TOTALLY do that, too! But mostly because I would forget to install the compression ring before I put everything in place. Taking it apart for repair later? That's the next guy's problem.

🤔 why are you soldering the pipe directly into the shower valve instead of using a female adapter and soldering that ? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Don't waste your time on cleaning new fitting all your doing is making them dirtier
