Why would put anything on the masterbus? That can be done in the mastering stage right?

I was starting to use Dynamic Eqs on a mix track for instance on a particular too loud resonating note (guitar, piano...). Should I prefer classic EQing and/or compression ?

I think bass guitar is the only thing I ever use a multiband compressor on just to keep its low end consistent.

Wow, that's lucky, I don't have ether of those! I just do normalise at the end and try to keep it from having to make massive adjustments. But then my mixes aren't powerhouses yet, so maybe that's where I'm going wrong!

Don’t you mix into the mv2? Isn’t that a sort of multiband compression?

Other than a compressor that you should be mixing into nothing should be on your mix bus. No multi band compressors and never ever put a limiter. Leave plenty of mastering work to the mastering engineer by leaving lots of headroom.

I don't even like to put fx on groups of say a comp on the drumbus, the moment I touch the levels on one element, it messes it up, and you have to tweak the comp as well. It's NOT a time-saver. On the contrary
