Well-picked mistakes, Marina - the "for" and "since" confusion is a common one!

Keep in mind!
"Pick up" can also refer to driving someone somewhere.

"I'll pick you up in 10" would mean the person is planning to let you in their car and drive you somewhere in 10 minutes.

"In 10" means in 10 minutes
"At 10" means at 10:00am/pm

“Throw” and “throw away” frequently get mixed up. I hear many non-native speakers say, “Just throw it, ” when they should say, “Just throw it away.”

I’m native English speaker, and it’s so interesting hearing what other people mess up when talking, and i learn a lot too.

I think the loaned vs borrowed one is a bit misleading so its not about if you are the one doing the loaning or borroing, but if the subject of the sentence, whoever that may be is doing what. so if yoi were to say "I loaned my friend the book", that would mean you gave it to your friend, but if you say "my friend borrowed the book from me", that means the exact same thing, that you gave your friend the book, its just that in the second example, the subject and object of the sentence are flipped. so with borrow, the subject is recieving the thing from the object and with loan, the subject is giving the thing to the object of the sentence
