Do not directly power anything you value via this type of gen. Use it to power a battery or power bank, then use that to power your phones, computers, or tablets. Voltage spikes aka dirty power will really mess up many sensitive electronics. If you've ever seen things about phones and batteries exploding, it's usually because they're getting dirty power.

after losing power here in tx with the ice storm i had to rely on my car to charge my phone and thought that was a bit crazy. i really never thought about the huge dependency i have on electricity when i have it. i think i need to pick one of these up. great video thanks so much.

You should only buy one if it's portability you're looking for. Otherwise, you can build one with a car inverter, go-kart sprockets, bicycle parts, and an alternator. In fact, that's what I'm doing.

This is a great way to solve the obesity crisis. There is a reward factor too. You have to work out in order to get all of your devices charged so you can get back to posting every second of your life on Facebook or YouTube.

I would be interested in setting up two, one for the feet and one for the hands, connected to a battery bank. Kinda like a back up charger for a solar system. 2 sets at 50w would be cool. Maybe getting a double set for the kiddos lol

I need something to momentarily power my well pump for water in case of a power outage, and I don’t think this is enough power. I’m surprised this isn’t a more common subject. Hand pumps for a deep water well pump are at least 2k.. 😒
