Just as a reminder: 15/19 of the hijackers were Saudis. Yet we go after Iraq, Iran, Afghan...

Why does the government ask for help unlocking devices when they always end up doing it themselves??

It's not that Apple "refused to help unlock the phone."

The government wanted Apple to build a backdoor, that could gain entry, into any and all Apple products. This "update" would circumvent password protections, allowing the government total access to anyone's iPhone, or other Apple products, at any time.

But, yeah... spin them as the bad-guy in this scenario. I don't like Apple, but I like the idea of living in a George Orwell novel, even less.

I can just imagine an investigator giving these phones to some interns to attempt to unlock.

No Surprise he acted on behalf of a terrorist organization.
What's shameful, is Apple's refusal to assist the USA investigating this domestic attack.

Mr. Martin should have said that Apple refused to help the FBI instead of Director Wray having to say it.🐈
