We’re saved for good works, not BY good works.

We are God’s creation and he created us for his glory. We would be going against his glory if we only ever believed in God but never went out and acted in our faith. By our actions we glorify God. Great lesson today brother!

If anyone wants specifics, "Good Works" can be as follows:

-Reading the word
-Worshiping consistently
-Praying consistently
-Living in a righteous, Godly lifestyle
-Abstaining from lusts
-treating others as one wishes to be treated
-Love for others
-Good deeds
-Sharing the Gospel, either consistently or by opportune chances.

The list could go on, but these are aspects that indicate a regenerated spirituality.

Yes I definitely agree with this video....this is a good one indeed....you can't profess to be living a Christian life of faith with no good deeds to back it up.... people on the outside judge Christians by what we do & not what we say

Right!! We don't work to be saved but saved to do good works. This is what it means of working out our salvation with fear and trembling in Philippians 2:12. Many goes to the extreme and says they should do good works until they are saved. It only means that we should work out for the salvation we already have to enhance it not to work to have salvation. We should show our faith by works . Another is that some OSAS are taking the scripture we are saved by faith and not by works are thought to the extreme also. Maybe Allen Parr you should make another video to balance and explain these kinds of understanding. Thank you and May GOD BLESS US ALL!!!

Amen brother. Right on, James is not saying we need to do works to be saved. Too many christians are at each others throats about faith and works. They both compliment each other!

Great video Allen! It is so important for us to recognize that good works are a PRODUCT of our faith. Real, true, genuine faith will naturally be followed by action and works. But we are NOT saved by our works. We are saved by faith & grace and faith & grace alone. (Ephesians Chapter 2).

4:15 Good distinction to make between wants and needs. Before quarantine my friend would ask for my food after theyve had theirs and say "Jesus said to give". Yet ironically he wasnt considering my hunger. So make a clear distinction if the one asking is really in need.

You can still always give tho, because God has said something like "whatever you do for a brother or sister youve done for me." 👌
