Keep in mind this is a non traditional repair and not the best option. The inside cab corners are still rusty, though I did scrub them with a wire brush and sprayed rust converter on them. Most of the cab corner backing is also rotted out and missing, again, not ideal. If left as is, it would probably rust out fairly quickly. To combat this, we are going to coat the inside of the cab corner with an oil based undercoating and will continue to do so every year at the beginning of the winter season. (I will do a video on this!) The point of this repair was clean the truck up cheaply and quickly with minimal effort. To be frank, we are putting lipstick on a pig. :D I plan on doing 6 month follow ups so you can see how it holds up!

Why would anyone post a video of "not the best option"? Lost me at "cutting corners". Thumbs down.

I am about to do the same on my 2002. Perfect video timing. Thanks making the series !

turned out great, certainly a viable option and may be the only structural option if a person is welder deprived.

Im thinking on doing this myself hesitant too, but scared to fuck up once you cut it no going back I might have a shop do mine, and my bed wheel arches and redo my bed mount rails. I'm not good at welding, my welds aren't clean they're sloppy, but they hold really well

for gaps.. mig weld with right hand while feeding mig wire piece in separately with left hand. As if oxy welding..Works A1 on old car panels. Do a video on it ? seldom seen on youtube.
