In the past 40 years, academic defenders of God's existence have continually refined and improved well-known arguments for the existence of God. In this talk Trent takes you on a helpful tour of these arguments and provides resources to help you take a stand against the rising tide of modern atheism.

This talk was presented at the 2023 Catholic Answers Conference: I Believe in God. To attend this year’s 10th Annual Conference “Learn from Me: The Parables, Sermons, and Conversations of Jesus Christ,”

Trent mentioning “Too Far With Laura Horn” opened wounds in me that did not need to be reopened. Why Trent from 2023, why?!

10:25 was funny and the internet will vindicate Trent Horn for that joke even if the audience didn't

Loved the content! I just had a few questions that popped into my mind—I'm really curious, not trying to criticize:

I was wondering about low-probability events. For example, my existence is the result of so many seemingly improbable events—my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents meeting and so on. It doesn’t necessarily mean that my existence is intelligently designed... or does it? A lot of things happen with very low chances, but they just happen—it doesn’t always imply that someone designed them or needs explanations. How would you address my thoughts on this in the context of fine-tuning?

It's pretty obvious that humans have a special intrinsic value (to us), and both theists and atheists can probably agree on that. Theists have an explanation (God), while atheists don't necessarily. But here's a thought experiment: What if there were rational beings in space, like aliens, who believed they had special value over all other species on Earth? If we encountered them, we might claim our intrinsic value is higher, and they might think theirs is. Maybe humans think we're special simply because we're the only ones here who can make that claim. What are your thoughts on that?

I hope my questions make sense! Just curious to see how you might respond.

That inicial image of the painting of god a the drawing of the Big Bang were the exact images o used to illustrate how I thought the world began for my 5 year old girl’s homework. The only thing is, I flipped the painting so that gods finger touched the start of the Big Bang. :)

You mean the new case is better than the old one.

The best evidence for the existence of God would be God showing himself to everyone !

Every argument for a god, something that is outside space and time, is an inference, an inductive argument. However unlike scientific inductive arguments, god doesn't offer any explanation for anything.

@catholiccom. Trent horn is a sinner. 1john3:6 tells us that sinners dont know God or understand Him. What that means is trent horn doesnt know God. So how can he tell people about God if he doesnt know Him?
The answer is he cant. So it is foolish to follow a sinner.
