All of a sudden I understand why the keeping space demilitarized is such a huge thing - out in the harsh vacuum of space, there is simply no room for screw-ups, let alone for hostile foreign relations.

"We're sending it to space, don't you think we should put a laser or something on it?"
"Nyet. Rifle is fine."

What's funny is these marines are actually former fighter pilot. Marine naval aviator are required to undergo infantry training before entering flight school

I like how they’re using m4’s that looks specifically made for space combat but the russian was just using a standard AK, I guess in every universe AK’s are extremely reliable

This here was by far one of the most impactful shootings on TV.

And the reason is simple. It's not over the top. It's very reductive in fact. Yet it felt more impactful becuase of context and the nature of it being silent. Very well done, this scene resonated with me exactly as I imagine the directors wanted it to

So Tracy couldn't find a flashlight or anything. Also what kind of Marine wasn't watching his corners? He was tunnel vision in one direction and didn't watch his ass. He knew he couldn't hear anything and his head should have been on a swivel the whole time. Also they should NOT of had their lights on, that gives away their positions.

ridiculousness of this whole show aside, when the guy on rear security doesn't do his job...

I am watching this again. The Russians were being smart. They had NO lights on, not even their head lights. The Marines have both the lights on the rifles on and the lights on their suits. They might as well be painting a target on their fucking heads. Once Lopez noticed Vance was down, he should have either pied the corner better or took cover and waited for the Russian to come to him, at least getting down to a knee so he can be more stable with shooting.

The nice reality is, actual astronauts and cosmonauts are probably the friendliest people around. They would see each other as fellow pioneers, doing great things for science.

But then again. In this show they're not really friendly scientists astronauts. They're marine pilots sent to space. Plus it's the height of the cold war.

Basically all im saying is that I dont think irl Chris Hadfield would be so cool to the idea of fighting other fellow astronauts.
