That river is a major highway. People will find this by the time you gather enough wood to build a wall.

Remote, but every player moving north on west cost will visit this spot. Also has clear line of sight to camp and make an ambush from hilltops nicely covered when you open your gate. Then there is plenty of time to raid before the owner is back from Electro shopping tour.
Have raided this place so many times in different servers and for some reason it's always occupied. It should be in the list where not to start building. Also there are lot of fences and toolsheds over what you can boost yourself in if not built correctly. Being on the edge of the map is already a bad hiding spot for bigger complex. Best spot is medium traffic, but on plain sight. If you have noticed how you explore the map and always starting from cherno, electro, berezino or somewhere between you take different paths to reach mid of the map or to the north etc. If you do this 500 times you notice how landscape, hills, points of interest and towns, villages somehow push you on the same routes. Follow a ridgeline and it slowly turns your way and then already you head towards next location and move doing the same. Of course there are so many patterns. But it happens with most of the players. That's why those somehow blind spots are the best spots. Usually i have found those other players bases only trough blind luck when i have to run diagonally trough map to meet a friend or maybe i'm just lost in the woods that usually does not happen. Also had a 8 gate layer 3 tower base in a spot like this with 4 cars and 3 trucks in a spot like that for almost 1, 5 years before it was found and raided. But good luck!

Great vid! I found this place a week ago looking around for supplies, it wasn't occupied. I personally don't care for bases, they just get raided. I prefer a tent with a camo net in the woods stuck in a clump of green fir trees off the beaten path with a bunch of barrels in it. No fences, to easy to spot. Unless someone like me who roams through the woods a lot stumbles upon it, it never is found. If it is and I get raided, kudos to that guy I guess. I'll just rebuild somewhere else.

I check this place alot. I run the edge of the map to find bases and hidden loot.

Just had a large base here with a faction. We got raided within two weeks. It was hell to defend because enemy has thick forest coverage and all high ground. Didn’t help that it was a truck spawn and it gave reason to visit.

I was looking for a base on this side of the map and i remember seeing this and passing it up as i thought it was simply too close to the edge of the map, and i was scared that other solo players may have the idea to base there as well as it was out of the way but close good loot zones. I found a pub to the north a ways and it has NOTHING out there except two outhouses and a green house. Its also surrounded by bear spawns so there's almost always a bear in hearing distance, a great deterrent for players even those that might wanna build there. To the east is a plank spawn which can also be nice

I have an idea for a secret base that I haven't seen anyone post about yet so here soon when I get a new Playstation ill go there and hopefully its a good spot

Well the heli crash for me is a no I never build near them as this makes your base way more likely to be discovered

I tried making a base in that sticks base b4, only sucky thing is it’s a slog to get to and from it, which can be a pro but when you’re that far north freezing is a big problem, + a good bunch of zombies spawn at it regularly and they love to wander off into the woods surrounding it so unless you got your ears on expect to get jumped from behind regularly, in addition it’s a log cabin with 2 entrances and a ton of windows so it’s hard to secure and if ur a solo forget it cause it’ll require way too much effort and supplies and time to build it up, only plus sides of the place is it spawns a good lil bit of gear including hunting gear, and it’s near the places you mentioned + deer stands, but it’s really just too much work to secure and build up from

Yes it is remote, but that's the only good thing about it imo.
If you screw the wrong person(s), you will never leave your base again, only in a bodybag.

to me this is the most known base loaction in the entirety of dayz, its terrible, you will be raided within a week and there is ZERO you can do about it. if you want a base that lasts 3 months build in the deep woods and have 3-4 layers of walls full camo nets and at least 5 or 6 bear traps and land mines.very hard to do but i manage to d0 it every time i wanna go for a long play, in fact i get bored before i get raided, most youtube guides on bases are very well known spots so find your own and things will be better. dont build in and structure or house on the map i promise you you wont be able to sustain the base for more than a few weeks if you are incredibly lucky
