I'm still low-key pissed at Barnum. Charity left everything to be with him, she's the best character, hands down.

Can we just take a second to appreciate Michelle Williams' singing skills here? Because, first of all, the vocals are amazing. But the way she manages to link it to the film plot is so good. You can tell by her voice that it sounds like she could break down and start crying any moment. To be able to fill a song with that much emotion is truly admirable. I really think this is one of the most underrated songs ever.

I just love that moment at 2:17 (and also 2:44), her movement and voice and the music imply that she's going to break out into a big and dramatic song-finale but instead she just carries on singing "with you" very calmly! It's like a symbol for Charity not needing a big dramatic, luxurious life - she's happy and satisfied as long as she is with Barnum. It also shows the contrast between her and Jenny, who sings "Never enough" which is the musical equivalent of drama and pomposity

The moment that hurt to see was watching his daughter smile so big at the end of her ballet concert and then looking up looking for her dad and he’s not there.... you can literally she her heart breaking as she tries to keep a smile. All the while you can tell charity realizes how much her husband is missing....beautiful song

I love when charity never complained about their life. She loves them unconditionally. She's the best character for me in the movie :')

Most people say that Never Enough was the most powerful and emotional song in the movie, but I still think “Tightrope” is the most emotional ;; (in my opinion).

This is actually my favorite song of the whole movie. She has such a pure sweet voice.

This song and scene is so powerful. Instead of marrying someone who "longs for a life that is simple and bland, " Charity marries a man with dreams. Their whole life, Charity has stood by Barnum to support his crazy dreams, except now Barnum's dreams don't involve Charity anymore. I think that Charity knows that someday he will remember what is important. This song is so underrated, in my opinion.

Anyone notice how the scene where Barnum's children chase after his carriage mirrors the earlier scene where a young Barnum chases after Charity's carriage when her father carts her off to finishing school to keep them apart? Oh the irony...

I just adore the part at 2:35 where she’s dancing with the shadow of her husband!! It’s so heartbreaking and so beautiful all at once!!

when barnum was ‘dancing with her’ she was singing legato (the notes flowed with each other) and when he wasnt with her they were more staccato (seperated and quick) i think they did this on purpose and if they did its a really nice touch to the piece

her graciousness, integrity and class as her husband leaves with another woman and how she handles it is so gut-wrenching, I learn from her strength

Jenny's song Never Enough portrays that the life she even had to herself would never even be enough while Charity's song portrays how she loves Barnum and the family she created unconditionally still with love even though Barnum is neglecting them for a time.

Something about tightrope keeps me in the emotional feels.
