Ahhh God is so good. I was literally praying the other day and feeling disconnected from my Heavenly Father. I do know why but I was really trying to avoid this video...I’m glad I didn’t. Thank you Mark for your continued obedience in Christ.

Was talking to someone about this the other day, people need to be careful that they don’t mistake their inner voice for God’s voice. We can know the Bible, pray about something, and think God had given us an answer we want when it was our inner voice giving us the answer we want.

What do you do when you have never felt any connection?
I pray and nothing happens. I don't even know if God has heard anything. I've prayed that He be my Lord and Savior, for forgiveness, all those things, and nothing.
The only thing I hear constantly is the "test pattern" in my head from tinnitus.

I love the part you spoke about being able to recognize a person's voice (wife, children, etc) because you become familiar with them. So no matter what the message was, you can recognize the source of the voice. I'm sure I've probably been guilty of "selective hearing" too lol.

I have a 2yo son who I love immensely. I can’t image hearing my son cry out “daddy! daddy!” and not rush to him to speak to him; to not ask him “yes, son what is it?” I can’t image having communication issues with my son because we need to work on our relationship first or because he did something wrong. These can’t be the reasons why we don’t hear God. These reasons don’t comport with a loving father. Surely, the love in the father is greater than the love I have for my son. Let’s be honest and admit we don’t know why we can’t hear the father.

I don't know why God never really speaks to me. My little brother has heard God's voice more than I have. It really confused me it really made me start thinking.... How comes he speaks to my little brother more than me? am I even close to him I always talk to him now and then I pray I read 5 pages of the bible on Friday's when I have the time. Through Saturday and Sunday. Guys his voice is in his word .. Roman's 8 will help u. we must become more spiritual minded and less carnal minded that comes from reading bible every day and praying every day.. then the holy spirit will take that word and speak to our hearts and mind and regenerate us .. it's just that simple.. it's not mysticism.. it's the word of God .. the word became flesh and dwelt among us .... the carnal mind will e with us till we die .. we must die daily by killing our fleshly thoughts by the washing of his word .
