Small note on the Deff Dread. There's enough options for 2 of them in the box you just need another base and a body to attach it to, an old Citadel Shade pot works perfectly fine

This video made me sad because I lost my 15 year old Ork collection in a house fire early this year. I got compensated for them with insurance money but I havent been able to bring myself to start collecting them again. So much work lost.

I respect ork players because of the sheer amount of collecting they have to do in order to play. It’s an impressive investment just to get to a 2k army never mind having options.

But the only orks I’ll own are the ones under High Marshal Helbrecht and now under an Emperor’s Champion with Bayard’s Revenge.

The Gargantuan Squiggoth costing the same as a college credit doesn't even surprise me at this point.

These are my favorite. Gives me the experience of standing in the shop, weighing how to spend my lawn mowing money (but not buying because I’m off the cheap plastic addiction these days, lol)

Awesome Video as always. I'd like to mention some things in terms of kitbashing.

1. The Dakka jet kit: You get tons of extra bits in here. With another Scale model Plane you can easily make another Orky Flyer out of it, maybe even two. Plus lots of extra Rokkits etc.
2. The Standard Ork Boyz kit. You can convert these guys into everything. I've done: Tankbustas, Kommandos and Burnas. There are a lot of 3rd party bitz for them and combining them with extra parts from other Ork kits yields a lot of potential. (Nearly the same goes for nobz)
3. Meganobz: Don't glue in the "Hands" You can easily swap them out for the other options. And Magnetize one of the Banners of one of them. This way you can swap it out for the KFF oder Tellyporta Blasta. You can use the extra penal that goes on top of one to make it into the Mek kit for a better surface area.

Honorable mentions:
New Kommandos Kit. You get tons of extra bitz to convert even more Kommandos in combination with the boyz kit.
Burnas/Lootas. As Auspex mentioned in combination with the standard boyz kit you can easily make the other variant you didn't build with the spare parts of the Kit.

Just one note: The Warboss with Big Choppa is actually one of the few remaining metal miniatures in the GW range (and is still currently available on their website).

The gretchin arr amazing pallette cleansers too. If you're having trouble getting motivated to paint other models, they're a quick, easy and fun paintjob to get your mojo back with

The best bit of advice I was given when getting into the game was: just use spare ork boyz and rockets if you want tankbustas. Don’t waste your money

This video is missing some major sets. We all know that every set is an Ork set :P Thanks for the review :)

The new Boyz box is still, one of the biggest middle fingers GW ever showed to their player base.

Built a Kill Team using the Savage Orruk set and some Lego weapons. The choppas are nice painted up a metallic color since they look like dented and pitted bits of scrap turned into a weapon.

Don’t forget the meganob box has a custom forcefield in it for the big Mek/conversions

The meganobz build for a big mek in mega armour - there is also a kustom force field option for him in there!

I prefer the old boyz kit to be honest. Prefer the slightly goofier looking sculpts.

Newer ork boys (starting around the Speed Freeks box) all seem to have orkish microcephaly, with tiny heads with little chins, foreheads, and not all that many funny hats. I ended up using older and 3rd party heads on all of my newer ork models (Kommandos, New Boyz, Beastsnaggas, Squig Hog Boyz, etc...) just so they fit in with all of my older boyz.

Runtherds make fine Weirdboyz with their various staves, so the Gretchin box is a bit of a steal. You get a cheap troops unit and a possible HQ psyker character all for about $20, when often a character alone costs more.

Got something very negative on the Nobz - there is only one and hence only a left killsaw in there. Makes dual killsaws a real hassle to build.

Agree on the Hunta/Kill Rig model. It looks so derpy. Almost as bad as the 30K Space Wolves legion helmets.

For anyone else here, I highly suggest mixed new and old boyz - a bit of knifework and green stuff, and you can kitbash them for just awesome variety.

I really like that different sizes of ork boyz is lore appropriate. Makes it more fun to kitbash and mix n match boyz.
