I had this one before it wasn’t bad, loved the dvd feature.

my husband had the Xbox series s,
it became a pain to him bc of the limited about of storage,
it needed a specific memory card for more storage, my mom and I were trying to find one for him but he didn’t want anyone putting that much into it.

he ended up selling it on Valentine’s Day to pick up the game he wanted for our ps5, a game for me and used the rest of the credit to go halves on an ssd with my mom for the ps5.

This console is really solid I’m not gonna lie, had it for years, I originally had the first Xbox one ..and it was pretty crappy ngl, but the Xbox one s was a huge improvement and despite being pretty old, I haven’t really had any problems with it, it barley makes any noise and I also like playing backward compatible games, from the xbox 360 and the original xbox, I’m getting an xbox series x tomorrow, but for those of you who want something that isn’t to expensive and is reliable, you can’t go wrong with the xbox one s.

I have the vcr model (exact same specs except a slightly lower teraflop rating at 1.31 compared to 1.4 on the S) and i love it. Ive seen other people say they had the one x and were underwhelmed when getting series x, but going from my vcr to series x, i was very happy. I still use my one all the time. Sometimes just to play simple easy games like Skyrim, but sometimes i plug in my external hdd and play some of the older cods. When i say older i mean literally every one until the new mw2. It runs really well for being almost 12 years old (mine specifically was a first batch model, November of 2013) looks really good usually. It is a bit slow when turning on which can be frustrating, but even with the slower loading times its not terrible. Especially after work, it works out that its kinda slow lol. I can turn it on, use the bathroom, open the game, and make a sandwich, or something small, and by the time i get back to my room, it’s loaded. Bit of a long comment, a bit of unnecessary information, but i could go on and on about why i think it’s still worth playing. Even well worth buying even of you have the current consoles. Throw it in the living room for family night, guest bedroom (if you have one) garage/man cave if you have a spare space like that.

I bought the xbox one s used for about 170 dollars in 2016. I still have it today. I do not play a lot but sometimes. I may wait until the second-hand price for the series x drops (hold out to 2025?)

My Xbox one s 2019 controller still work fine . Dead zone has increased a little but still playable.

It's slowly not being to keep up every game that updates gets worse on my xbox one s but least the backwards compatability is worth it all my 360 cod games run so smooth on this.

Well yeah I’d agree with it being a decent beginner console for someone just getting into Xbox for the first time and not wanting to spend a bunch of money but if you’re looking for an upgraded experience I’d say the series S is perfect for its price and if you don’t have a tv or monitor capable of 4K then it’s probably not worth getting a series X since you won’t get to use it’s true potential of 4K and of course if you’re still a physical media user then the series X would probably be your choice since it’s got the disk tray.

How did you get an xbox one s in such good condition? I'm looking to return my series x and get a one s. There is not a single series only game I am interested in playing. I only play xbox 360 or xbox one games.
