This week, I modded the Optocell in my GA Comp2A and heard a noticeable difference. The compressor sounded more prestine with nice harmonics. So I'm excited to see your results switching the tubes. I appreciate your videos 🤘

Yeah!!! I love that idea!!! I am impatient to see the result. In fact, I have recently decided to buy a compressor for recording and have come to the conclusion that the GAP COMP-2A or COMP-3A is the compressor for me. I still haven't decided which one to buy. Maybe you could advise me. I record vocals from time to time but I am a jazz guitarist and what I record the most is acoustic guitar. Specifically manouche guitar to play gypsy jazz. I think the most suitable compressor for me is the COMP-3A, but maybe you think that the 2A is better for me. Thank you for the content you make, I learn many things with your videos.

Interesting, I own two Comp 3A's and two Comp 2A's as I mostly use them on stereo buses.

In the beginning it was similar for me, I used the Comp 3A more often. Recently, however, things have changed and I've been using the Comp 2A more (if only they didn't get so damn warm).

Of course I'm very interested in your test and I'm waiting for your next video about it. In addition to vocals and drums, I would also be interested in a test with the new tubes on an electric piano (Fender Rhodes like). I use the Comp 2A for that very often.

By the way Golden Age, I can only recommend the Comp-54 MKIII. I always use them for the drums, exactly what I've always been looking for for my drums. These Comp is excellent.

Is it plug and play or do u need to bias the tubes? Just curious cause i have the Comp-2A and if its as easy as plug in a new tube than i am definitely going to give this a try
