I don't usually comment on YouTube videos. But I have found your recent videos on broadcast mixing super helpful. Thanks.

You never disappoint! I've learned so much from watching and applying what you teach in your videos. Keep it up!

When you do that for the mix, and push compression, the peaks of the kick and snare will suddenly start to mute the vocals. For broadcast, you want to limit or compress the kick and snare on the input side, That way they do not pump the vocals, which can be brought up in the mix.

Thanks for another great tutorial. One follow up question on the limiter settings. What does "squeeze" do and how should I set it? (I guess that's two questions).

Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I will be watching all of your videos very soon. Our church just purchased a Behringer X32, coming from a Allen & Heath analog console there is a lot to learn and I will be setting it up this evening. God Blessings to you.

Thank you! This is a great resource! You mentioned a link to a separate video towards the end of this about the back end of this topic. I didn't see the link anywhere. I'm assuming that the Dynamic Compressor and the Precision Limiter will be set to POST fader? Thanks again!

Excellent tutorial! Could you provide ballpark settings on the Percision Limiter for podcasting or VO? Thanks.

Hey Chad. Two questions.
1. What does Squeeze do? What should I listen for in adjusting Squeeze?
2. You've set this up to get good strong signal during music. What do you do during the spoken bits like readings and message?
Thx. D.

Hi Chad...do you mean to turn off compression and let the precision limite do the job? Thanks

Have you tried the Combinator? The attack and release can be very quick if desired.

Clearer understanding of this limiter. What will squeeze parameter do and did you intend for us to hear final treatment with release all the way down. Thanks

Am using a X32 boards and am using busses for my Livestream. Here is the problem my keyboards are plugged into the auxiliary in while all the vocals are in the line input. When the vocals are on especially on the Livestream you hardly here they keyboards unless the vocals are low

Hi,
Thanks for your helpful videos.
I have noticed after I updated the latest firmware (4.04.1) on the X32, the fader db level is showing incorrectly. Say for example, if I set Channel 1 fader at 0 db, the LCD display shows that it is +4db on the Main tab. All the fader are showing like that. Is this a firmware issue or may be my console needs repair. It is surprising that all faders are like that. Could you please check your console and let me know
