I use the liquid chrome pens now. Take a 4mm pen and remove the tip. Shape it to how you want, then reinstall. Works WONDERS for chrome trim 😊

Now that is a cunning trick putting masking tape either side of the area you want "chromed".

I had tried using the same aluminium tape, but put it straight on without using masking either side.

So when I trimmed the excess tape off, I had scratches in the paint work....

Incredible commentary.... I often worry about cutting into the paint but may try soon. Often just favor pens with/without masking

Depends on the type of car, and what location its in, sometimes the anodized aluminum look is correct, sometimes you want something that looks more like stainless,
Or the Molotov chrome all have a slightly different looks and can be applied in conjunction for more realistic models.
Remember refrence the real cars for appropriate finishes.
