axco, Mexico 🇲🇽 (not Taco 🌮😅) is a town full of surprises. I had the pleasure of visiting this hidden gem 2.5 hours away from Mexico City this Sunday. It was sensory overload - lively streets bustling with vendors and vintage Volkswagen cars everywhere, not to mention its unique status as a silver mining town. I finally learned why I am seeing vintage Volkswagen Beetle cars everywhere - it’s because it’s an extremely well-made car that every Mexican family loves to own. The streets are narrow and hilly, reminiscent of medieval towns in Italy. The chaotic and lively vibes also reminded me of Morocco - it’s interestingly similar to the Medina in Tangier. But of course, once you sit down for a meal as you hear music from everywhere, you are minded that you are in Mexico. It’s all the charm blended in one. ❤️
