The Links we talked about in the show:

While she hasn’t appeared publicly, Jennifer Soto, the mother of slain Kissimmee 13-year-old gave her account of the day her daughter went missing and some of what led to it, along with details about her relationship with Stephan Sterns.

An April 18 interview with a member of the State Attorney’s Office at the Osceola County Courthouse, with Soto’s lawyer Matthews Bark present, has been released. This was six weeks after young Madeline Soto’s body was discovered south of St. Cloud, and six days before Sterns, Jennifer’s on-and- off boyfriend, was charged with her murder. Prosecutors had already arrested him on 60 charges related to evidence of sexual assault on Madeline, and Soto was subpoenaed for this interview. During the 70-minute interview, a number of topics were discussed, such as her and Sterns’ relationship, and what he told her what happened Feb. 25-26.

If Jenn isn’t arrested for AT LEAST child neglect, this will be the biggest travesty of justice next to Casey Anthony.

Oh my meds, my meds, my meds… she says that more than her daughter’s name!!!

The way this woman refers to her daughter sleeping with a grown man as a slumber party or sleep over is disturbing in itself 🥴

"What if he did 'these things'? Fine. I understand he did the 'sex stuff', but not anything evil." Most disgusting thing I have heard in a long time.

Jennifer has not once shown any emotion over Maddie’s disappearance in these interviews. No freak out crying over her daughter, not one tear shed.

For her to call it a "slumber party" is just beyond bizarre and im surprised the guys didnt mention it

Dude if your dog pisses itself when someone comes near it, that person is probably hurting your dog.

As if “slumber parties” sounds better than “I handed my child over to the devil on a silver platter.” 😡

When she says the sec stuff was fine the detective twists his neck to release the rage he felt when she said that.

Wait…she was willing tio “believe the sexual stuff” but “didn’t want to believe he’d done anything evil to her”. So this mom thinks anything done to her child short of murder doesn’t count as evil? Yikes.

Let me get this straight… she wouldn’t let her daughter sleep in the bed with her, but she let the DOG sleep in the bed with her…. I can’t stand this woman

Chase - thank you for stressing the inappropriate closeness in relationships as a red flag!! You’re 100% correct! There is NEVER any exception.

She lost me at sending her daughter to sleep in a bed with her bf. Absolutely insane. The more I listen the more frustrated I get. She's a piece of work.

No mother would send their daughter to sleep with a grown man just so she could sleep. She knew everything and didn’t care. Uses her medications as an excuse. I wouldn’t be able to talk without constantly crying if it was my daughter and she never mentions Maddie’s If she doesn’t get charged our justice system is beyond broken!!!!

If your teenage daughter is kicking you in her sleep then give her her own room and bed to sleep in like normal people do for their growing children.

What mother lets their daughter have "sleepovers" with their boyfriend? ... It's so weird and dysfunctional. Imo, I think she knew and she's just playing dumb. She said SHE had a rule for "no sleepovers" because SHE didn't trust men, but in the next sentence she says she can count on one hand how many times it happened. She didn't care to expose Maddie to him. She saw him as a babysitter and someone to keep Maddie occupied while she took care of herself. Imo, she didn't care if Maddie got hurt by a "man", Jen just didn't want to get hurt by a man.

EVERYTHING IS ALL ABOUT JEN! She didn't even go to her own daughter's 13th birthday party.

IMO, Jen has a huge disconnect when it comes her relationship with Maddie...I have a feeling, I can only describe, as Jen having resentment toward Maddie. Was she jealous? If so, Jen would, probably, fight to be the center of attention, and she would see Maddie as a rival and competitor. This also means that Jen would want to please SS and give him what he wants. I think Jen knew, but didn't care as long as SS was happy, IMO. It was all about Jen's happiness, first, then Stephan's, and Maddie was always last...

This makes me sick, and I want to projectile vomit now!

The officer was not ok after she said “what if he did this stuff fine”. He almost cracks his neck to the left and both feet are releasing his tension and keeping his cool tapping as he can’t believe what he’s hearing

This mother is not needed as a witness for a conviction. She should be charged with aggravated child endangerment for the abuse she allowed. And some culpability for her murder.

I noticed the way the detective turned his head when Jennifer said, "He did all this stuff, fine."
It was as if he was totally stunned and disturbed by that statement.

She's way too "happy" for someone whose daughter is missing.
