I was having bad knee pain to the point I couldn't sleep at night. Bone on bone. Out of desperation I tried 30 grams of collagen a day and after 6 weeks the pain was almost gone. 5 years ago and still not having surgery. If someone thinks it's a placebo then I say fine. Whatever. The pain went away. This motivated me to lose weight and after a year I dropped 100 lbs. Im sure that is what kept it going. But I still take the collagen. The pain relief was quite profound for me.

Not sure what enjoy more, medical info, which I trust, or the banter. Love your channel. You two are the best.

The skin on my forearms had become very thin, and even slight contact with objects caused bleeding. However, after four months of taking collagen peptides, this problem has completely resolved. It's the only supplement I take.

I have been taking a collagen powder in my coffee every morning for about 6 months now. I can't say that I have noticed any big difference. I am 72. I have also increased my protein and fiber intake for the past few months. I think I will stop with the collagen powder and see if I notice anything different. Thank you for this video. I appreciate hearing from real Docs.

You docs are great. I just deleted this long TMI about my own journey & what’s worked to keep this ol’ woman, seemingly healthy, fit, good muscle mass, energy, cognition, sex drive, increased my bones from osteoporosis to osteopenia & i hope for more improvement. I’m an RN in a snf where a lot of the patients are now younger than me with horrible health-So many amputations r/t T2DM, osteomyelitis with of potent IV antibiotics. Post sepsis from PNA & UTI’s(mostly women here). I’d love to feel free to have a discussion, but again TMI. Good show. So much snake oil out there, & then there’s those things/medications that can deliver that most docs won’t touch-like Ritalin to get a depressed woman who has an amputation the energy to eat, get out of bed, work with therapy, & go home again with her husband. So peace out, & this is much shorter than my original over sharing. 😂

Can you please do a review on the benefits of infrared light therapy and if there are any at home devices that are approved for use? Great content. Thank you.

I buy my collagen at the Bulk Barn in powder form. I normally take about 1 Tablespoon in my Smoothie. I found that not only my hair is healthier, but also my nails. I am due for a Bone density test. Hoping it has improved. Thank you! Enjoy always listening to your videos😀

My friends say Collagen works but I think they are doing exercises and eating better so that's the thing making them better. Thanks for the unbiased clarity

I had gastric by pass 20 years ago, and have been taking collagen and multi vitamin daily as I am unable to digest most foods (in sufficient quanties) and it has helped my skin and hair, joint pain and nails. Not sure if it's the collagen but for being in my late 50 ^s I feel good

I take collagen powder every morning in my coffee and it helps for the wrinkles under my eyes. I can tell a difference when I stop taking it but I realize this is only short term but it does help.

I have been taking collagen peptides for 3 years for knee pain and it seems to be helping much more than the glucosamine and chondroitin did. Also turmeric seems to help. My GP took away my Celebrex because of my age and his risk tolerance.

The only difference that I noticed was that my hair and nails were growing much faster.

By eating right and taking collagen I believe I am providing my body with nutrients and things that it needs to function properly. But what is not discussed or mentioned is whether or not the body will discard it if it is not needed for anything. I hope the stuff just doesn't stay inside of us.
We are all different. For example, I can not sleep if I have a coffee before bedtime. Yet I have met people who say that a coffee before bedtime helps them sleep. It may the same situation for collagen.

I have been taking a liquid form of collagen bought at Costco for 5 weeks now. My skin feels amazing. Smoother. Don’t notice anything different with my bones. Nails and hair also feel better. We’ll see how long this lasts. But I’m sold on it.!
