How to use HLOOKUP in Excel - Office 365

If the data is structured in such a way that the lookup value is in the top row rather than the first column and you want to look down the rows for data rather than across the columns use HLOOKUP. Using HLOOKUP you can lookup for exact match or approximate match by providing false or true for the last argument. The default value is true if you don't pass any value, which is approximate match.
