During this webinar, Time to Shine Leeds share how they co-produced the Age Proud Leeds campaign alongside local older people.

Age Proud Leeds is an inspiring example of community based co-production. Time to Shine work together with older people to sustain connections, share good practice, work in partnership and provide a platform for older people’s voices.

In this webinar Time to Shine in Leeds share how their campaign, Age Proud Leeds, has been developed to tackle the issue of ageism, changing negative attitudes towards older people and ageing.

Older people have helped to shape this campaign and were involved in the sharing of five key anti-ageism messages. People with lived experience of being older and the challenges they face, have helped to develop the campagin resources that promote the shifting of age stereotypes.

During the session you will gain insight in to how we worked together to co-design and co-deliver the campaign, and get the opportunity to use some of the resources to consider how age discrimination has affected your life and atttitudes.

Although our work focuses on ageism, our way of sharing ideas and collaborating will help any community based project who would like to ignite their own co-production practice. We hope it will help you to drive forward your own projects or campaigns through the co-creation of a collective aim.

This webinar will be of particular interest to organisations that work with or for the benefit of older people and older people themselves who wish to challenge the stereotypes that impact their lives.
