tiktok in the US was not supposed to send user data to Beijing. They agreed to that and were allowed to stay. They almost immediately broke that promise and now they must get out of the country or sell. sounds fair to me.

In the US, Temo is advertising "give away prices" which is consistent with your report on deflating consumer prices in China. I fear for the welfare of the average individual who has no control over employment and the need to pay for basic necessities. I remember reading The Good Earth by Pearl S Buck in the 1970s; history may be repeating itself.

Thanks Tony. There is more to the TikTok act than just TikTok. The Law added Social Media to the original Act/Law banning forigen ownership of US Media Companies and the Supreme Court upheld the Law. No matter what gymnastics the Pols try to alter the application of the Law, it still stands and will be enforced, sooner or later.
