I can definitely recommend the audiobook of My Name is Why - Lemn reads it himself which is always great!

I was seeing most of these books for the first time in your video, and I love that! I'll definitely check out some of the translated works you mentioned. :)

I also read Eve out of Her Ruins and was similarly impressed by it. My favourite WIT month read was another novella Agatha by Anne Cathrine Bomann. Also really liked Breasts and Eggs by Mieko Kawakami.
I've never read anything by Akwaeke Emezi, but I think I'll give them a try asap.

I need to read the Death of Vivek Oji. It sounds absolutely heartbreaking. I'll have to add In the Dream house to my tbr.

Totally agree on the 'false rape' stories... who are they for, and why are they being told? Those are huge questions for me...

I really want to pick up the Lemn Sissay memoir - didn't realise it was out in paperback! I've heard a few people describe the new Emezi novel as 'harrowing' - I'm such a light weight when it comes to gratuitous violence in books - not sure I could handle it 😬

I loved so much the dreamhouse, do you want to buddy read her body and other parties? I am a bit intimidated that they are short stories... Also, I am so interested on the death of vivek oji, I heard nothing but goodness
