Ok, wow, never expected to see Greg read a graphic novel! I haven’t read Mooncakes, I’ll have to check it out. If you like warm hugs, you should try ‘Heartstopper’. It makes me so warm and fuzzy inside. 💕

And Joel should totally put a link to the recipe for what he was baking ‘down below’! I don’t even know how to spell it to look it up. 🤨 😋

These wrap ups are always fun and full of great recommendations. I'm planning to read The History of Sound this month. Hot Mall Santa wins best title of the video by a mile!😀

Chauncey! My favorite literary character after Owen Meany. Looking forward to reading the new book. Just finished This is Happiness and loved it so much. So much heart in this book, so much humanity. The language is like nothing I've read before. I wanted to underline every sentence. So so beautiful!

I enjoyed Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow. My book club picked it and although none of us are fans of video games (Minnesota ladies in our 50s and 60s) we all loved the book! Just goes to show that grabbing books out of our usual reads is a great idea!!! Btw, do you have a patreon account??

I have had moon cakes on my TBR for months. I am so glad you shouted it out because now I do actually want to read it

Listening to an audio book while I put together a jigsaw puzzle is one of my favorite things! I just finished the audio book of Tom Lake read by Meryl Streep. Meryl was so good!

Just what I needed today! Thank you! As delightful as ever. Steamy windows! 😮‍💨🤣💜

I stopped in at my local indie today and picked up the new Attica Locke. It’s the third and last book in the Darren Mathews Highway 59 series. Really looking forward to it. The two previous books were excellent! Starting tonight! I’m also listening to a crime novel at night, a take on Strangers on a Train. So far, so good!

I read 9 books in August. Nightwatching by Tracey Sierra was my absolute favorite (even over The History of Sound). I need a good scare. Very highly recommended. My least favorite was definitely The God of the Woods, a book in desperate need of editing. Way too long for what it was. Lots of people loved it, but I kind of knew going in that the length would kill it for me.

I loved the first 75 percent of Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. The last quarter dragged for me. But it is worth your time.

Maybe you already do/did this, but a "takes place around Christmas" reading recommendation video could be fun!

You had a great month overall besides the book throwing! 😅😂 I DNFed Tomorrow and Tomorrow… I couldn’t get into the gaming part. At 51, I thought I wasn’t in the targeted audience. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Did I see Joel blush when Greg mentioned steaming up the car windows???? As I play catch up with my reading I will definitely have to grab The House in the Cerulean Sea of my bookshelf soon. I am trying to "read my shelves" so I have Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, Gabrielle Zevin: The Inland Island, Josephine Johnson, Bel Canto, Ann Patchett, This Is Happiness, Niall Williams and The Country Girls, Edna O’Brien to keep me busy. I have been packing up my books as I am going to be painting my livingroom where most of my books live. Oh my Greg, I wonder how you did it when you redid your library. I bought some new shelving units and thb I am overwhelmed!!! Any advice is welcomed! Good to see you both and of course it is great to see Teddy along for most of the video. Joel I am going to try and bake some Scali bread which is a popular Italian style bread (Scali family) in the Boston area. I hope it comes out good! You inspire me to keep baking now that I am retired. Be well and will see you on the next video.

Hi Greg and Joel I have had a great month. Read 15. Best were How to Build a Boat, The Bee Sting and Clear. I think I will ask for The Country Girls I think for Christmas. I’m on a self imposed book buying ban now until the New Year. It probably won’t last but I need to get my TBR down. I am taking Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow with me on holiday next week.

The lights sounds so cool! You can just pick the color and leave the lights up all year? I just ordered "The Pairing" because my daughters enjoyed the authors other books and figured we could all read it! Great episode!
