As a Brazilian I can say that Villa Lobos is one of Brazil's greatest heritage. I loved your phrasing, timing, tone and musical sensitivity with this piece. :)

I'd keep it up. It may be the only recording of this piece on gut strings and no fingernails ;)

This is my favorite of this set of preludes BTW - fantastic job.

This works perfect without nails. have you ever tried for example the first study of Lobos, without nails? (In a nice tempo).

Rob any tips to achieve a smoother release and volume when playing nailess? Do very light gauge strings work better? I struggle to achieve a good volume and release with certain pieces. Thanks.
