As a Salvadoran with relatives that fought in this war, Im very pleased that you gave a ton of context for the whole situation instead of what many other youtubers that have covered this war do: blindly believe that the was was exclusively because of a Football match.

To this day there's still some animosity against Honduras but that's because a whole different reason, except that this time I highly doubt that we could be able to Blitzkrieg them again.

Yeah, I'm on El Salvadors side, especially when the Honduran president blamed El Salvador when it was western business interests that harmed Hondurans, he was definitely in American corporate pockets while his people suffered even dragged them into a war that didn't need to be fought

And yet the era of the banana republics was one of the better eras of honduran history, we were developing industrially at a good pace and had a stable source of income. I say this as a honduran, a fairly large group prefers that to the crime ridden hellhole it became during the 2000s.
