Trust me manuals are MUCH cheaper to maintain then auto! Auto’s require regular fluid changes & honestly a clutch normally will outlast an automatic, auto’s are much weaker & can fail, they are much more complexed & cost a lot more to repair. I agree with most of the rest but you got that part backwards for sure.

Manual doesn't make u a car guy. I drive manual and automatic. I do my own work my cars. To me your love for your car no matter if it's manual or auto makes you a car guy. Love downshifting but to win races I go with auto. Lmao!!

Yep automatics are NOW. Better.
Its more modern to have an automatic NOW 2018.
But when things fail ? NOT SO GOOD !
Id buy a second hand manual faster than Id buy an automatic. And Ive been driving sports cars for 45 years. If your a guy that buys cars every 2 years you should paddle shift. If you keep your car for ten years get a manual.
Paddle shift is the same as stick your still shifting.
Its true there used to be a big performance difference and its just now in the Automatics ball park. But less to go wrong with a manual.

Also for everyone wanting to boost their 370z. Automatic is better as you don't lose boost (power) after you shift as in a manual you are having to go into neutral every time you shift. You maintain power through all the gears in an automatic. Also with paddles on a touring model or nismo, you will have the same fun and excitement downshifting for pops etc.

I'm planning on buying a 370z and I do have traffic in my city, but I think I'll go for a manual trans for 1 and 1 reason only: the burnouts. I've never driven a manual before too so this should be fun. :D

The 370 Manual is one of the worst feeling manual transmissions I've driven. It's clunky, rattles, slave sucks, makes a ton of noise, it's not at all rewarding to drive. I'd take a Auto over a Manual 370z any day. My 300zx makes twice the power of a 370z, has a 6 puck clutch in it, and drives silky smooth, makes no noises, doesn't vibrate and so on.
