About Cruel Summer:

As someone who is a social worker, the fact that Jamie exploited Kate’s ordeal to cover his own ass (lets be clear, he was in no way protecting her by telling her she was delusional) is one of the most reprehensible things Ive ever seen.

Jamie freaks me out. I still cannot get over the scene from the pilot or second episode where he was stalking Jeanette and had a gun in his car. He is definitely planning on killing her for what he thinks Jeanette did to Kate. I believe he really loves Kate and will do anything for her.

A good response from Jamie after she says "That's the nicest thing you've ever done for me" would have been "Wow, I must've been a shittier boyfriend than I thought" and been completely devastated by the realization

what really touched kate was the self doubts he engrained in her when he told her she was having hallucinations and for him to admit that he was lying and that she was in the right all along must have felt like she was getting a part of herself back.
