My Sincere Condolence to OnePlus fans who started the journey with the Wonderful CyanogenOS :-(

Colour OS 13 may be good for people who are already using OPPO phones or Xiaomi phones.
But for older OnePlus fans it's a big disappointment.
Especially for countries like India where pixel phones are either not available or are too expensive, OnePlus was the pixel experience for us

I am very happy to see an honest and unpaid review of Oxygen OS/ Colour OS 13.

OPPO is definitely sponsoring a lot of Indian reviewers for saying good things about Colour OS 13 and OxygenOS 13.

Thank you for your honest review

Great thumbnail, great video, great content.
BBK are really messing OnePlus up with their strategies. Soon it will become just another phone brand in the background. Sad to think OnePlus used to be such an exciting brand that everyone was super hyped for their phone releases. RIP

Color OS is why my OnePlus 8 is now a backup phone for me. Back to team Google/Pixel. Went from Nexus 6 to a 5t and loved it. Was enjoying the 8 until the Oxygen OS 12. That is why I bailed on OnePlus.

I'm glad I switched to a Pixel. Loved my OnePlus 6.

Some Consumers buy a OnePlus phone not only for the cheap price, and good hardware, But also for the Oxygen OS software.

I own a 5T and its on Oxygen OS 10, i am happy that it still have the same originality, pure clean stock like UI. but it makes me sad the company went all the way down and i can never ever think of owning another one plus phone in the future.

my first oneplus phone is my current oneplus 9pro, so i genuinely dont know what previous non color os versions are, id love a comparison video between stock android and color os, im honestly perfectly happy with the os as it is, having only known huawei and samsung android versions before.

Since OnePlus moved to ColorOS, I installed a custom ROM to get aosp/pixel flavor after 8 years! Already on Android 13 with amazing battery life and performance. Upgrade to Android 11 from 10 had left with me some stutters and occasional freezes which I could never fix.

Its not much of the design that irks me. Our firm had 75 Oneplus devies to be replaced this year for three teams totalling 225 devices. But we just removed Oneplus from our qualifying devices list owing to unrefined OS changes made after Oxygen os 12. Our IT dept and head and manager were ardent fans of the brand before this. Their experience with the os in recent times were bad to say the least, and resulted in us changing to other brands for official use.

Oxygen os 10 was the best and currently the best os!
Right now I'm on Oxygen os 11 & not updating it to 12!

Oxygen OS 12 was terrible anyways, I think this is a great new direction they are taking. This should help them provide updates more frequently too

Still use a OnePlus 6. Flashed Lineageos a couple months ago. Phone feels new! Next phone will be a pixel, no more OnePlus for me.

What I learnt from the story with OxygenOS is that we should always look what the product is, not what the brand is.
Because we believed in OnePlus and what they were doing. We believed in OxygenOS because it was really great. And they changed. Their products are still very good but in most cases they are rebranded Oppo phones. And before they were different. They offered incredible value and probably the best software. And Oppo was not selling the same phone under a different name. But now they are the same. So we are disappointed. We are saddened. We are angry. Because we believed in OnePlus.
But we should believe in ideas and products, not brands, because one day the brand is going to disappoint us. And we should not be feeling something strong because something is happening with a brand. We should just change to another brand that offers a better product.

The next brand that's going on this way is Nothing. We will see what their position will be in some years but I believe the same is going to happen. And it's probably inevitable.

I feel in the latter half of the video, a comparison with the old oxygen OS about what you miss and prefer would be much more helpful.

Honestly... my complaint was that OxygenOS was starting to look ugly and half-baked, ever since v11. Then in v12 it got really buggy. I think OnePlus was just taking their time to fully integrate these 2 software development teams. And this 13 update looks to finally iron out the kinks. It looks really clean imo, nothing looks visually out-of-place, and I'm digging these new features! MY FINGERS ARE CROSSED 🤞🏾

Just remembering a lie by Pete lau " It's just a codebase merge & the user won't feel any difference visually after merge"!
