What happened to OnePlus’s OxygenOS?

I'll swap to LineageOS as soon as support ends. Worst move ever to merge it to ColorOS. If I wanted a ColorOS phone I would buy an Oppo instead...

Even tho OOS13 is good and fluid but I bought this phone not just for fluidity and stability but also for its uniqueness which OnePlus lost after the merger. If I look at my OnePlus then it feels like it's another oppo phone.
I rolled back from 13 to 11 just for its software uniqueness.

It is a disappointment. Oxygen OS 11 was a refined version of Oxygen OS 10, and it made an identity for OnePlus. OnePlus merger with Oppo was a mistake. Updates are still buggy, and now you hardly get them on time. Hate OnePlus now

colorOS is still towards the top of the heap of android skins, but nothing will beat that oneplus 7-9 era of oxygenOS to me.

They have wrecked it, it was amazing. It's now a buggy mess. My OnePlus pro 8 has now removed quick wallet access, cuts of the clock also since the last updated their attention to QA I'd now atrocious

OOS went downhill during the 3T days, when the HydrogenOS and OxygenOS teams were merged

I Really like Oxygen OS 13 It is an Improvement over Oxygen OS 12 and I Really think it is a Good Trade off because I am noticing I am Getting the Android updates faster since OnePlus and Oppo merge together

I lost all my interest in Oneplus as soon as they ditched stock UI.

Oneplus became just another brand, nothing special.

I still own my OnePlus 5 and use it as secondary phone.

I mean everyone is complaining about OxygenOS and I'm sitting here using it wondering why everyone is fussing? It is way better than Samsung and if you want pure stock android buy a Pixel.

I just have my first experience on OxygenOS on a onepluspad. It’s okay. It’s a little buggy though. I have to set up the tiles in the quickmenu everytime I turn on super saver after the last Android 14 /oxygenos update.

Oxygen os 12 was absolute dog shit when it came out. So many quirks and annoying bugs. The task switcher being absolutely broken and not being able to pull the app drawer down from anywhere on the screen like in oos 11.

I did the android 13 update on my 10t the other night and the best Android experience on a phone changed .I loved how simple the old is was however Im getting used to this one now and sure the old is looked better cleaner but like everything in life you either adapt or get run over and I love this phone too much to switch back to my pixel 7pro which has the boringest blandest android experience ever

OnePlus is gone. Go for a Pixel or Nothing phone if you want stock android experience without installing a custom rom.
