Opening MRCP Part 1 Results: Live Reaction + Reflections

In this video, I open my MRCP Part 1 exam results which I sat 4 weeks ago in the most controversial circumstances and show you guys my live reaction and raw emotions! I also talk about what it means to me, and reflect back on my experience. I'm usually quite shy but this meant a lot to me especially given everything that's happened - I think passing was definitely more relief than anything, because it opens up so many doors for me in the next few months!

A bit about myself:
Hey guys! I'm Matt, a junior doctor 👨‍⚕️working in London in the UK. I've had so many incredible experiences as a doctor and my journey to getting where I am today and so I decided to try put them somewhere: this channel is it! I mostly post about my life as doctor but I put out educational content about things that I think I have something worth sharing, such as about studying, medical school or productivity.

This is such a lovely scene, reminding me of me seeing my MRCS result last in Feb 2021. Although it's late to say, "Congratulations!!"

Congratulations beloved Matthew; I have received my MRCpsych paper A results on the 3rd of Feb, two weeks ago, and I acted the same way you did with few extra tears; the grind for paper 1 is always tough especially while working full-time, my Paper B is in Oct and part 2 is usually easier whether it's psychiatry or medicine :) I wish you all the best!

Congratulations Matt. 🎉🎊. I have a question, I am doctor from the philippines . I am already done with my internal medicine training since 2018 . But i am planning to work in the UK . I will take the MRCP part 1 on Jan 2021 . After clearing the MRCP written and PACES can I apply straight to a CT1 training position? Then eventually a SPecialist training probably in gastro or endocrinology ? What do you think is the best pathway for an IMG like me? Thank you😊

Heyy, Super Congrats !
Love your videos. I am a final year medic, prepping for the MRCP 1 . I am extremely weak in the clinical sciences ( anat, biochem, physio). While prepping what should be my sources for the clinical sciences. Is it worth doing the USMLE first aid for these or Kaplan? Any alternative source you can suggest. Thanks a tonne :)

Hey Matt wonderful to see your brilliant success! Do you remember approximately how many questions did you do correctly and achieved that 700 plus score? Any rough estimate on how many correct responses (out of 200) on an average are needed to get that score
