I’ve lived in both dry and humid climates. Humidity can be really aggravating, but it really does do wonders for my skin

After a shower you go from wet clean to wet sweaty, my hair is in a ponytail to keep from being more sweaty and hotter. I keep a bar of soap on a sponge to keep it from getting mushy.

People keep suggesting A/C or dehumidifiers, without considering the cost of elecricity, the way the house is built to 'breathe' (not airtight) and the inconsistent electric supply in rural vietnam.

There is a reason, Kuala Lumpur and singapore Housing architecture in a lot of districts is brick Roofs with concrete and Limestone slabs to insulate from humidity.

Literally in the city's history

Oh god, I could not handle that. Stuff being wet gives me the ick (sensory issues due to ASD). Also my asthma could never haha! But Vietnam looks so beautiful. I'd love to visit some day. We had a family friend who was from Vietnam and he made the BEST food ever ❤

I’ve lived in Zhejiang Province in the south of China, for a few months, and let me tell you spring season gets up to 97% humidity and it’s raining heavy too during those months!! It’s almost unbearable at some points since it’s also extremely hot! But the scenery is beautiful and the foos is great so it was worth it😁

90% humidity is just wow - I didn’t know that was even possible. No wonder it looks like greenery is in abundance, and I can only imagine all of the tropical flowers you could grow with that sort of heat and humidity.

I actually really think weather wise I'd fee at home in Vietnam. We pretty frequently have similar humidity levels and the heat is pretty comparable. They have these little bags that collect water from the air passively. As long as you have a room that's pretty well sealed they do wonders. I'd recommend them in the bathroom and bedroom. Assuming of course you don't have the window open it really helps.

When I went to Bali, I lost weight because I sweated so much and the food is fresh and natural. I got a golden buttery tan from moderate sun exposure even with spf. My hair was three times more voluminous and less oily. My skin cleared up, was moisturised and hydrated by the air so fine lines disappeared, and had a beautiful glass sheen. I have never looked better. But! everyday, I felt like I was boiled inside out, I could barely move if I wasn’t in water and even with air con, sleep was TOUGH. I’m an Australian, I thought I could hack the heat…it’s another level there

I watched the house tour and was wondering why there weren't many items hanging on the walls, but now I see it's because the humidity runs down them. Wow! Thank you for educating me! I live in an area where the humidity is rarely above 20% So this is really cool to learn about.

I lived in florida growing up and 75 to 85% humidity was the norm in summer. Props to all the people who live in Vietnam and have a good day.

As a Floridian, I feel your pain on the humidity. It’s about 90 percent 7 months of the year. We have to run ac to keep the mold and wet at bay.
