Why Asia is suffering from the 'worst April heatwave in history' | DW News

Following the hottest summer on record that left large swathes of the Earth parched or on fire, experts have been warning that this summer may be even worse. Asia has already been hit especially hard by rising temperatures this year. Thailand issued extreme heat warnings for large swathes of the country.

UN figures have shown that Europe is warming faster than other regions of the world. However, intense heat waves in places like India — which just recorded its hottest February since 1901 — are already proving particularly difficult due to the country's location. Experts have predicted intense heat through the summer which could have a disastrous effect on important crops. Extreme weather in general has also forced thousands of people to leave their homes.

Here in our capital city, KL, Malaysia, the highest temperature is around 34 to 32C only....hotter than usual but not really a heatwave phenomena. Rain is pouring down every evening...so we're grateful that we're not experiencing the current terrible heatwaves like our neighbours Thailand, Bangladesh or India. 🙂

Here in Philippines where I lived its getting hot and they estimated to reach 50.0C. We must fight and save our environment not wars and any kind of battle.
Edit
Thank you for comment and correction. Its "Heat index reaches 50 degrees C".

Now look at the weather in Australia, over the last two years, the monsoon weather has been pulled down into the southern hemisphere, due to the Indian ocean dipole and la Nina, we have had wide range of flooding and snow in early and late summer, across the South East,

People tend to only show concern when major events or personal circumstances affect them. As humans, we often prioritize our own interests and fail to extend the same level of care and concern to others. This raises the question: why is it so hard to care for others? Perhaps it's because there's no monetary reward for doing so. However, if we want to make the world a better place, we need to start caring more. Though it may be challenging, it's important to start taking action now. After all, if we don't start now, when will we?

The problem in Southeast Asia is not heat but humidity

Summer time in MNL, so it is really hot here. Currently 35C. Also, neighboring countries are experiencing extremely hot weather. The thing is, El Nino is approaching so expect much more drier and hot days :( Stay safe everyone!

Maybe it's time to plant more trees for extra shade and absorbing the heat. There is to much concrete and steel in the city's which increase the temperature.

The corollary of that may be the weird (for this time of year) cloudy weather we are experiencing in North Island, New Zealand. Very gloomy but still fairly warm. Olive trees still fruiting vigorously, a few late season bananas fruiting, cicadas still around although much less than even a fortnight or so ago. I saw a virulently green one yesterday. The invasive South African mantis still hunting on the semi enclosed late season tomatoes. Guavas abound. Almost breaking the trees in productivity.

We had a lousy summer with 2 Cyclones- Gabrielle & Hale. Several other very unusual rain dumps and tornado events.

Western Australia and where i am we had the coolest summer ive been here for. we usually get at least a week of 48C mid summer and we barely cracked 40C. Also Honga tonga volcano is going to make a mess of the weather for at least 10 years. Forget the green that get 350 million every year and spend 100% on administration. Earth is expected to be wetter with cooler summers and warmer winters for the next 10 years since the valcano filled the stratosphere with water.
