Foldable phones really have come a long way, but I can’t wait to see what they’re gonna look like in just a few more years

got the fold 4 as my first foldable and I'm never looking back. being able to use my phone one-handed and also having a ridiculously massive display on demand is just so cool.

I didn't take folds or flips seriously until this year. I'm an average user, and still had a Pixel 2. I don't normally care about upgrading, but the Z Flip 4 seriously appealed to me and I was excited to get one! I'm a lady with small hands & pockets, and don't use my phone too much throughout the day. The folding/crease doesn't bother me and the front screen is useful while I'm working. It didn't take long to get used to, and I enjoy how customizable it is too. I recommend it if you haven't upgraded in a while, or are looking for something a little different.

I’ve had my ZFlip3 for almost one year now and I absolutely love it. It’s so compact, it fits into almost all of my pockets, and it surprisingly still fits into some of that small pockets that old purses had for phones. I also love this idea of not needing to open your phone to see notifications, it has led me to using my phone less, and I enjoy that freedom hahaha

You're right, I'm holding Samsung responsible for nearly every single flashship phone now being bigger than a 6 inch screen footprint. Single-hand-use phones are becoming more and more of a rarity these days. Which is a shame.

Is it only me or does anyone else not hear anything in the video until 0:11??

Literally don't see any comment mentioning this, but I swear I can't be the only one...

Hey Marques, maybe it's just me but the audio cut out in this video at the end, around 11:20. You're editting is literally the pinacle of YT so I'd be surprised if this wasn't just my phone being weird

The idea of the clam foldable for minimalist type users is really the selling point. Less screen time during the day can lead to more productivity.

I switched from an S20 FE to the Fold4 and I have to admit, its the first time in so much time that a new phone feels new and fun to use.

The folding form factor is the most practical, a small display turning into a larger productivity screen; while the flip form factor is the most fun, a normal phone flipping into half of its size. So much potential for the foldable phones in the future 🔥

Is it just me or does the beginning and end of the video have no sound

Never thought I'd even consider getting a foldable, but I think I'm ready to give it a shot.

I am a construction estimator and uni student, I've wanted a fold for ages but waited. Offered the 4 and was still reserved but I've only found it getting more useful as time goes on. Being able to bring up readable plans on site with something in my pocket is a killer. I partner it with a 15" laptop and it's the ultimate portable work station.

Watching this on my Galaxy Fold 4....It's my first FOLD device and I absolutely Love it!! Build quality feels sturdy, beautiful display inside and out, great cameras, incredibly fast, and GREAT battery life! My only issue so far has been the weight. It's a heavy phone but I got used to it pretty quickly

I still have a galaxy s21, but my next upgrade will be a foldable. I tried the Fold 4 at a store and it was just super impressive. Having such a big screen in your pocket is amazing and it is such a joy to watch youtube, emails or photos on it. I just hope they can get it to the Form factor xiaomi has. This one looks insane

The Fold 4 was at my local At&t store, giving me easy access to purchase. So I traded my S21 Ultra. Generally its a smaller smart phone that I can fold open to ease reading emails, documents and viewing videos. Very interesting phone to use.

"Try more things" is literally LG's strategy back when they were the experimenters and Samsung kept things very conventional with the sole exception of the (genuinely innovative) Note line.
LG's main problem was that they didn't find an idea that was an absolute banger the same way the Note was, so they kept squandering market share and never recouped their R&D costs.

Those were the days HTC tried using camera with larger pixels, but lower resolution (before settling on dominating everyone in audio quality and build quality), Sony's name was still relevant and Motorola released not only mid-range phones with *gigantic* batteries, but even tried out Intel's Atom processors (they weren't very efficient or quick overall).

Through all that, Samsung wisely focused on getting their Galaxy line to compete directly with the iPhone and marked the Note line as a power-user's device (back when that included _every_ feature available at the time; just look at the crazy things people could do with the Note 2).

Now that Samsung is the last big game in town, they can do whatever they want. Their potential rivals are too small to spend lots on multiple iterations of a promising product (if it doesn't immediately rake in billions), or are directly affected by US trade embaegoes, while also lacking the advertising budget to generate hype.

I bought my wife the Z Flip 4. She's been wanting a big screen that would also fit in her pockets forever. This year was the first time I thought they had become durable enough, and also had fewer negatives than positives. Either way, she loves it, and she's the envy of all her coworkers.
