The Best Tech I Missed This Year: The Leftovers (2022)

[THE LEFTOVERS: 2022]

A Windows laptop with enough power to be a desktop; a MacBook as portable as a tablet (with the notch of a smartphone); and a Chromebook that wants to become … whatever you want it to be.

A portable game deck that gives you the power of a console on the road; and a pocketable one that turns back the clock on what mobile gaming even means.

A smartwatch stymied by Google; another one that barely admits that Google has anything to do with it; and a trio of wireless earphones that make my travel a whole lot more relaxing.

I’m Michael Fisher and these are ten products that I planned to review – but didn’t quite get to – in 2022!

Such a good video - there's a whole bunch of great tech I didn't get around to covering this year, and this was a lovely recap!

I have been following Michael for a couple of years now, from a student in India to Canada. And I must say from his script, editing to honest reviews I have always been a fan🙏🏻 thankyou

Nothing makes my ears happier than the runs of alliteration you sprinkle into your videos 😀 Thank you for another year of great gadgety goodness!

something every tech reviewer missed was the Lenovo Thinkbook Plus Gen 3, it's a laptop with an ultrawide screen and has a second display next to the keyboard. It was released in 2022 but no big tech reviewer made a video on it.

Honestly until I save up for a decent gaming desktop, my son got that this year for Christmas (shh don’t tell him), my steam deck is my main gaming device. Be it in my hands or hooked up to my 55” tv using a ps5 controller, it’s a pleasure to use every time. I love it.

What a grand tour and a great video. With all the Youtubers around, I feel you're one of the few they call "seasoned". Thanks, Michael. Looking forward to more next year.

One of the best feature cell phones can offer, when recording video. Give the option of automatically record in horizontal mode and have the videos NOT look amateurish.

Always enjoy MrMobile's content. As a Star Trek fan I also like the references in his videos, looks like he started early in this one 1:13 that Gagh looks pretty fresh.

We've plateaued to a point of parody in peripherals pimped as Pros. 😁 Gotta love MrMobile's alliterative style.

FOOD SHOULDN'T MOVE but then I was also torn since it did actually look really good. NO, I STAND BY MY FIRST STATEMENT, FOOD SHOULD NOT BE MOVING. I'll eat RAW FISH, but that's been cubed to a point where it stops moving. I love Sushi.

Given how many reviewers have lauded its $399 price, it’s amusing to hear someone call the Steam Deck an “expensive compromise”. Yes, the Series S is $299, and the digital PS5 is $399 (if you can get your hands on one), but portability (display, battery, etc.) comes at a cost.

The Steam Deck is definitely a weird one in terms of what games are compatible. All the specs to be able to run a ton of modern, AAA games, but a backlog of configuring software to make older games compatible.
Tabletop Simulator and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy are two of the games in my collection I'm a little disappointed to see not make the cut, but being able to play Cyberpunk on physical hardware (instead of in the cloud like I have been), let alone on the go makes it one of my highest priority purchases.
