“Jeff cheats, because he has notes on his guitar that I don’t have” Ritchie Blackmore

It's incredible how precise and melodic at the same time Jeff is

When you get that high on the neck, which is technically off the neck, the slightest movement can be several notes. The fact that he’s able to be so precise that high on the strings is very impressive

The fact that he's in tune is unbelievable

My favorite thing about Jeff’s playing is his touch. He might not have the big bad rock chops of some of the other greats, but his finesse and feel is simply outstanding.

Jeff Beck - no words can do him justice - he’s just beyond magic, beyond sensational, he’s just….BEYOND WORDS!!!!

Duane Allman used to do something similar during certain songs. Most famously on the live recording of Mountain Jam he used this technique to replicate the sounds of bird songs

This makes me think of the country music slide (?) guitar sound, or the way Jeff Healy used to play... It really is beautiful. So much talent!

Beautiful. I've watched Jeff do this live. It's even more amazing in person.
The master has spoken. 🕉

JEFF has always pushed the boundries. As a Musician myself for 50+yrs I have to admit that I discovered this technique many yrs
Before Jeff brought it to our attention.
Sadly I was never able to utilize it in any of the Bands i have been in. I used to noodle for hours trying to create sounds on the guitar. I did manage to record myself emulating the sound of nitro
Funny cars at the starting line, which
Turned out pretty awesome. I used to live 1 mile away from the dragway so I know what they sound like. With all said Jeff has always been my go
To because every album he raised the bar that sent every
Guitarist back to the drawing board.
Ii sure do miss him 😢

Yeah I laughed out loud when I first saw the Live at Ronnie Scott’s concert, this section in particular. He’s getting the most out of that Strat. Such a master of the instrument.❤

Ever heard the story how Beck once dropped his guitar and caught the neck with his hand and let it slowly fall through his hand while playing shapes the whole way down?
