Broke my heart as it always reminds me of my wife before she died, We both 32 at the time, I am now 63 never remarried and think of her every single day. Love can really hurt and leave you feeling so lonely at times.

The beauty of the video is the fact that the father can NOT play the piece perfectly, but he is trying very hard for the love of his daughter and her mother.

I don't speak Japanese but this was so well directed, no one needs to to understand it.

A father may not be perfect, but will love his daughter perfectly.

Commerical??? There was more emotion in this than most Hollywood movies. We need more 'commercials' like this!!!

I normally hate commercials, but this one is perfection. You don't need to understand Japanese to understand the message here. Thank you, Tosando Music and HaoStaff Official, for making and sharing this most beautiful and touching commercial. It made me cry.

I've been watching this every so often for the past two or three years. I have no understanding of the Japanese language, but I understand pain, suffering and forgiveness. I understand loss, and how it can leave you feeling so isolated and alone. And I understand the power of music to move us through the heartache. Gives us an outlet for it and builds a bridge between people who so need to connect. I am so grateful that a Japanese music company made such a commercial.

I came across it by chance and I can't explain why it made me cry. It is a simple message but a very powerful one. Changed my day

I can understand the story as well as the language. The song Canon in D by Pachelbel was originally should be played with Violin but can also be played with Piano. The story begins is that the girl is getting married with the boy and her father played Canon in D as a gift and memory of her dead mother who played the same song as well when she was young and before she died. When her mother died, she didn't talked to her father that much and abandoned playing the piano. The father understands her daughter so he tried to learn the song that his wife used to play. It was a gift for his daughter. Canon in D is hard to play in the piano unless you really ant to play it plus it is not really arranged for piano but for violin. Music has meaning and also it gives a letter to a person. Piano is one of the best musical instruments I can describe, I know this because I play the piano as well.

The love of a father for his daughter is beyond words. When our two girls were little I told my husband the Japanese proverb that "A father is only as happy as his saddest daughter" and for 39 years he has known it to be true. This commercial also tells us that the best gift to give is not 'stuff' but of ourselves.

Man, there is more feeling in this ad than in half of cinema's history

This ain't even fair...I'm a man, 46 years of karate training, but I remember my mom playing the upright piano, and I weep at the beauty of the grief expressed here.

One of the best commercial I've ever seen my life. I didn't understood a single word, but this proves that words aren't needed to tell a beautiful story.

I don't speak Japanese but I do speak human.
I know what happened here.
Remember, darling. Your father loves you and he always will no matter what happens or what is said.

You don't need to understand the words to understand the love.

My favorite part is when he hit the wrong note 2:38, he stops, stares at the sheet, then goes back and corrects it while the bride encourages him in quiet. My tears roll down
