In this poignant scene from the movie "Click," Michael (played by the talented Adam Sandler) experiences a shocking revelation after his remote control unexpectedly fast-forwards his life by six years. As Michael adjusts to his new reality, he discovers that his physical appearance has drastically changed, no longer burdened by the weight he once carried. However, this moment of self-realization is quickly overshadowed by a heartbreaking discovery - his beloved son Ben (portrayed by Jake Hoffman) is now a grown man, having aged six years in what felt like mere seconds to Michael.

The scene takes an even more emotional turn as Michael learns that during the time he skipped, his father Ted (played by the esteemed Henry Winkler) passed away. The weight of this news hits Michael hard, as he grapples with the realization that he missed out on precious moments and milestones with his family, including the opportunity to say goodbye to his father. This powerful scene serves as a poignant reminder of the fleeting nature of time and the importance of cherishing every moment with our loved ones. It showcases the film's central theme - the consequences of prioritizing work and material success over the invaluable bonds of family and the irreplaceable memories we create together.

"Click" is a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant comedy-drama that will make you laugh, cry, and reflect on the true meaning of life's most precious gifts.

I’m not sure why this movie is hated so much. It’s an absolute tearjerker every time.

This movie started out so funny, I was surprised at how sad it became.

The impact of this scene increases when you consider it from this view: it’s made apparent that the “auto pilot” mode makes sandler’s character an emotionally empty shell that is described as a “auto zombie” by his ex partner. He has spent years - decades like this. His children probably saw him not react at all when his father died and perceive him as an emotionless asshole who only cared about work and how cheap he was. Then suddenly, after years, not knowing anything else, his son sees his father completely break down for this first time in his life and actually sees his father show emotion. It just breaks my heart.

imagine ben's perspective, he probaby thinks his father is getting alzheimers because he is forgetting such big moments like his father dying or his son's wife

"I won't take you there."
"Take me where?"
"To the moment he died. You weren't there."
"Of course I wasn't."

The saddest moment of the whole film. Hits way too close to home.

This movie actually had a good lesson to be learnt. Families need to break certain chains in order to move on and be happy. This scene is the perfect representation of that. Dont let the chain continue

Jake Hoffman did an excellent job of portraying Adam’s son. The voice and mannerisms sound very similar

This scene really exemplifies how we take our family for granted.
We're busy on a day to day schedule and we never stop to take fifteen minutes out of our schedule to chat, share a joke, laugh, smile.
Sadly, throughout most of our life, we're uptight and serious, and devoted to our career above all things, that by the time we take the time to relax and enjoy the company of a family member, that person could already be deceased.

I yelled at my father the day before he died, I regret it everyday and wish I could take it back.

The last time I saw my father we got into an argument. His last words were “you’re my son and I love you” the next day he flew to Oklahoma for his job at the postal service and died of a heart attack in his sleep in his hotel room. Don’t take good parents for granted

I cried watching this. I lost my dad about a year ago, and I really miss him. So if anyone sees this, Please tell them how much they mean to you, even if you can't agree with everything they say, you might never get the chance again. When I found out my dad was sick, I always reminded myself when I was telling him goodbye, I thought in my head "Hey, this could be your last time hugging your dad". And so, I treated each one as if it was the last one, so that I made sure to make every single last one count. Hope you have a blessed day.

This movie made me realize my greatest fear as a kid. Now I live that nightmare each and everyday. I love you always, Dad.

You know fall all the shit people give Adam Sandler. This move had some great symbolism to modern life and how we let it go by to fast to be in the moment. Missing some of the best moments all because we get caught up in our own stuff.

I still maintain this is one of the saddest movies I've ever seen with a very powerful message: You have limited time here. Use it to cherish and be with your loved ones.
