I wrote these words to accompany this beautiful piece of music, performed by the Kathryn Kuhlman Choir.
"Alleluia" is perhaps one of the most well-known of the modern worship choruses, written by Jerry Sinclair. There is a surprising lack of information on the man and/or the song. Jerry Sinclair’s singing and writing ministry began in his early teenage years as a preacher in northern Maine.
His ministry expanded to Oklahoma and California during the early days of the Jesus Movement, where his music group, THE CHOSEN ONES, ministered with Arthur Blessitt.
As a recording artist for Capitol Records he introduced his world-wide praise song, Alleluia, published by Manna Music.
Jerry died in January, 1993, in Los Angeles.
