My Grandma just died yesterday after 14 days of fighting COVID, hearing this really breaks my heart. She said that when she dies she wants people to congratulate her and not cry for her, cause finally she's with the creator. Miss you Lola <3

The lyrics were actually made from Ed's mom's perspective, when ed's grandma died. Nontheless, it's a very beautiful animation

When I was a child, my foster mom told me that “when people die, they will become white dwarf stars. Shine at night, to lead direction and let us not fearful of the dark night.”

I guess she on of those stars upon the tall sky, where I cannot reach...

I love her, I miss her.

I know you are reading this and I know that you're hurt... But the pain is not forever so stand up. Head held high. Believe in yourself and leave it to God.

This is for the people who are just sad, crying, remembering their loved ones.
"Grief is like the ocean; it comes on waves, ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.”

As I listen to the song, I went through the comments and I want to click like every single one of them. You all have reflected on your own life and shared your experience that’s synchronized with the song. Beautiful songs attract beautiful souls. Hallelujah 💜💜

My mom's 91. Even though she's stubborn and still insists on doing almost everything for herself, I can see her struggling. I know that she will not be with us much longer. I will miss her so much, but my grief will be for myself and those she left behind because I know without a doubt that where she's going is her reward for doing time here on earth. She will leave behind the frail body that doesn't always respond to her brain. She will no longer be in constant pain. So yes, when she's finally free I will sing hallelujah.

LYRICS

I took the supermarket flowers from the windowsill
I threw the day old tea from the cup
Packed up the photo album Matthew had made
Memories of a life that's been loved
Took the get well soon cards and stuffed animals
Poured the old ginger beer down the sink
Dad always told me, "don't you cry when you're down"
But mum, there's a tear every time that I blink

Oh I'm in pieces, it's tearing me up, but I know
A heart that's broke is a heart that's been loved

So I'll sing Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back we'll say Hallelujah
You're home

I fluffed the pillows, made the beds, stacked the chairs up
Folded your nightgowns neatly in a case
John says he'd drive then put his hand on my cheek
And wiped a tear from the side of my face

I hope that I see the world as you did cause I know
A life with love is a life that's been lived

So I'll sing Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back we'll say Hallelujah
You're home

Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
You got to see the person that I have become
Spread your wing
And I know that when God took you back he said Hallelujah
You're home

I just got reminded of my grandmother with this song. She passed away a year ago and it hurt me so much. She was the one who raised me and she meant the world to me. All the tears I’ve been holding back for so long was finally released when I listened to this song.

To all the depressed people out there...
Don't be sad, because god is always there listening to you and your problems 😊

How to comfort someone in their times of grief:

1. Don't try to relate by saying "I know how you feel.". No, you don't know how they feel. Everyone feels differently towards grief.

2. Make them feel loved. Get them gifts if you can. If you want to help, offer a hug. NEVER say that they're being dramatic. Even if it's somebody you don't know.

3. Spend more time with them. Go for a walk with them. Try to spend more time with them if they want you to. If they don't want to be with you, don't take offence to that; that's a sign of grief, and is completely normal. If they don't want your help, leave them.

4.

Love them. With all of your heart.
