From the power measurements I have collected for Cell phone chargers, most of these chargers will barely make it to 0.5 W with nothing plugged in. Doing the Math, if you left the charger plugged in for 24/7/365, this would equate to 4.38 kW per year. If you pay 0.11 per kW, then 4.38 * 0.11 = $0.4818. Basically 50 cents a year. In contrast, a typical "energy saving" TV in 2021, when completely turned off, can use up to 18 W of electricity because the smart components want to remain connected to our Wi-Fi, in case you want to cast something instantly from one of your other devices. Ironically, a lot of you will see this video and panic and go around unplugging all your chargers, instead of unplugging your four Smart TVs from the wall when not in use ;-)
