Ex Bud Light heir wants to buy back company to make it ‘great again’

Billy Busch, the former heir to the parent company of Bud Light, says he would be the “first in line” to buy back Anheuser-Busch in order to “make the brand great again”.

Unfortunately the brand name is now associated with becoming a sissy. No guy is ever gonna buy that brand no matter who owns it. The actual beverage itself needs to be completely rebranded (preferably without consumers knowing) and disasociated with Bud forever. Thats the only way anyone is gonna sell that drink to any consumer market.

The problem is much more fundamental: the beer isn't that good at all. But, the marketing was fantastic and beerdrinkers identified with the brand. However, when given a compelling reason to switch, they did. With so many tastier and better beers on the market, e.g. Modelo, the particular segment has been lost. Mulvaney was simply a powerful catalyst - and a textbook example of how to lose your base.

He's right. Everyone looked forward to the Bud commercials. And had the best opinion of the company. I was so sad when I heard they no longer owned Bud. It showed in everything connected to the beer. It's just sad! And it didn't have to happen. Terrible product management when you don't know and respect the people who put your product with the best and best known brands.

AOC and lefties called for a boycott of Goya foods because the owner / President of the company said nice things about President Trump.
Goya foods sales skyrocketed.

The right called for a boycott of Bud light and Bud light went from #1 down to #14.
