We used Stories. The rules surrounding what you can do with them seem to be vaguely defined. We tried to use one to drive engagement to a new video (our own video) and YT issued a strike a against us. We got it removed but it was a huge hassle, so now we don't use it anymore.

I recently hit 10k subscribers and the Stories function has been activated. I’m already using shorts, posting 5 days per week, and it’s working well. Since Stories only lasts a week it’s seems it’s primary usefulness would be for channel announcements and not worth putting a lot of effort into it since I’ll lose the content.
