They did not invent the camera phone or the phone with capacitive touch screen, neither the GPS on the phone, nor the smartphone itself...! What they actually invented was a marketing strategy and a new design for phones.

Apple deserves credit because putting all those together in one AND made it user friendly.
I'm not an Apple fan, but I can still recognize Steve Jobs basically accelerated the tech industry with the idea of the modern smartphone.
The implementation of navigating the entire UI with just your fingers was revolutionary.

Sure...any car brand also developed hardly anything in their cars...they didn't invent the wheel, nor the internal combustion engine, nor radios, or touchscreens, or windows, or proximity sensors...
They just grab all that stuff they did not invent and put it together...also PC's the same, TV's the same...i mean, almost all tech stuff follow the same logic

he is right. apple doesnt really make new stuff anymore. even though they used to. nowadays apple just makes their own products better without doing something new other than the operating system and the dynamic island. nowadays they just make stuff feel better.

They built the onscreen keyboard, the multitouch interface, the actual idea for an app centred GUI, Touch ID, Face ID, Taptic Engine and the made the first successful SoC device
