Jason, thanks for the video. I would love to see you address how to navigate the timeline while editing clips on multiple video and audio tracks, using shortcuts to turn off auto-select, mute, solo, enable/disable clips, and all the things you can do there. I can get around a single-track timeline pretty easily, but when it comes to messing with multiple tracks, I slow down a ton.

Dood!! I knew there was a shortcut for zoom the whole timeline. I looked but couldn’t seem to find it. Many thanks

Jay, love seeing these memory-jogger videos to remind me of keyboard shortcuts and surprise me with new ones I could have been using. Thank you!

Jason, New Sub here. Thank you for putting these videos out. I haved watched several of your videos. For someone like me that has zero background in editing and using any editing software "1st introduction being davinci". You do an amazing job explaining things where i can understand them.

Very handy stuff my man. Well-presented as always. Funny how this stuff works. I've been using DR nearly three years now and I was only aware of about half of these 👍

I uncheck the 2D Timeline option and Pan/vertical Scroll the Timline with the Mouse Wheel only. Very fine for me.

Jason: You missed one of the J/k/l Functions Shift + K ounce to play SLOWLY, forward or backward depending weather l-Forwerd or J=Reverse were last Used. Multipul Shift + K slows PLAY multipl times boyh in forward - l or Back J. Have an awesome day Bro.

This was an excellent video! Do you by any chance know if there is a keyboard shortcut for switching between the various parts of the DaVinci Resolve window? For example, is there a key command to move focus to the timeline, or the inspector, etc.?

Up and down arrows move the playhead to the previous/next cut.

Is it possible to have scrobbling on timeline and see the content on the monitor just by hovering the mouse on the timeline like in final cut without clicking anything? Thats the only downside for me not to swap resolve.

Hello, I am a beginner at this software and i would like to have a question.
when i use 2 video layers in the timeline (video 2 and video 1) and i have 1 video who is shorter than the other one. i want them to fit and end in the same time (the shorter video start in the middle of the longer video and should finish in the same time) and i dont see a smart guide that shows me when i drag the video to the end of the other one but it keeps going. (like if i use text it shows me in the timeline when to stop draging the text ). . i hope i explanied myself good.

Along with tip #6 at 1:08, I have been trying to create a shortcut to shrink and expand the timeline by utilizing 'Ctrl' and scrolling my mouse wheel. I don't like using the toggle between the minus & plus sign and I don't want that particular shortcut to be used for going left & right on the timeline, My problem is, I can't find where I need to go to within 'Keyboard Customization'. I don't even know what it's official 'command' is labeled as so that I can get to it and update the shortcut. Are you able to provide ANY assistance with getting this done?? Thanks Jason!

Hey, I have a question. I'm pretty new to Davinci resolve and I'm wondering why every time I import from folder to Davinci my clips I shot that day get imported in the wrong order, as if I shot everything backwards and also when I import from master bin into my time line its like the timeline was imported backwards as well as if I shot the video I'm trying to edit from finish to the start, in that order. Is there a way where I can import and it shows up on the time line the same as it was shot from first clip to the last clip in that order. I don't see why this program will make you import clip by clip instead of highlighting the the clips I want to edit and dragging them into time line.
