You know you live in a neurodivergent house when you forget the name of your neighbour mid-conversation, so you wind up referring to them as neighbour

Exactly. When my husband says he’s doing yard work and will come in for dinner in 20 minutes I know it will really be more like an hour and a half 🤷🏻‍♀️
He’s undiagnosed. But I’m diagnosed and struggle with it too. But I’ve been working on setting the stopwatch on my phone to clock how long it *actually* takes me and him to do things start to finish. It’s helping me a bit to improve our timing. Still not great, but small improvements.

I get serious anxiety whenever my husband asks me how long I think something will take, especially because he hates being late to things. It would work so much better if it was like this where I tell him what I’m going to do, and he can estimate how long it will take.

I call this "time optimism": you don't realise how long things take and how slowly you do them. I don't suffer from it, which is my one uncharacteristic adhd-trait, but my spouse always gives me optimistic timelines of when they'll show up somewhere etc. It was a huge issue when we started dating, since I would be very disappointed after waiting for hours....

Surprised at the hateful comments on here. I love these shorts. It lets me live vicariously for bit and feel the support given here. Keep doing what you do 💜

1:1 me! The more I see your shorts the more I am convinced I am a ADHD. Thank you for helping me to feel not weird anymore. I am crying right now. Happy tears with a bit of a big relieve. I will dig into your channel now. (Me, single mom, 53, 3 kids 21 20 14)

Uh oh...by saying an hour, that has taken the urgency away from my brain, and just restarted the stopwatch.

Need to refer to the short where 5 minutes is actually 300 seconds and she springs into action! 😂 I’ve tried 300 seconds on myself and it does kinda work a little.

The more I watch your shorts, the more I realize i must have ADHD. This here is spot on, just like me getting to shower at the time I'm supposed to be wherever place i go. I always said i was born like this, that I have tried to fix it but hasn't work.
The day I'm 5-10 minutes before time, its just luck; I'm usually the least, 15 minutes late. 😭😭😭

It's been a huge comfort relating to everything you depict as ADHD. I feel normal 😊

As someone that is just newly diagnosed your clips on Time Blindness has been incredibly helpful to me. It is shocking to me how much this effects my whole life.
From overwhelm to sleeplessness. This new awareness is a new starting point for me where I can slow my panic/anxiety. Fingers crossed.
p.s. It is so hard to explain to my friends that it is not laziness or lack or being organized.

This is so good. I have to chuckle at “kick myself in the foot”, which is a mixed metaphor.
